K-State basketball just detonated its biggest mid-season storyline in years. Jerome Tang was informed Sunday morning that he was being fired for cause, reportedly tied to comments made after the Cincinnati game. By Sunday night, Gene Taylor had addressed the media in a brief presser conference, Matt Driscoll was named interim, and the Wildcats have 8 games remaining. Now it gets complicated. Tang’s legal team says they’re fighting the decision, and claims “K-State will be embarrassed.” Most around the program believe this won’t end at $0… but also won’t hit the full $18.7M buyout.
