The 2024-25 Tulsa men’s hoops season is officially in the books, and Head Coach Eric Konkol will return for a fourth season. We give our thoughts on that decision before discussing women’s hoops’ shocking AAC Tournament loss and surprising WNIT berth, softball’s upswing, other TU sports, and our favorite NCAA Tournament bracket picks.

  • 7-24: To Konkol or Not to Konkol
by Ryan Token & Matt Rechtien on March 12, 2025 at 3:24 pm

The season(s) are over or ending. The men finished out the regular season with a big win on the road over Wichita State, but have an uphill battle in the conference tournament. Meanwhile the women’s season comes to a close with an upset loss to Charlotte. Now is the time to talk about the question that everyone has been wondering – should Tulsa move on from Eric Konkol? Besides giving our thoughts on that question we talk on conference tourney preview, softball, track, tennis, golf, and more!

  • 7-23: Hot Shooting & Still Losing 🙁
by Ryan Token & Matt Rechtien on March 4, 2025 at 1:00 pm

The TU men shot 50% from 3 in the first half and 44% from deep overall against Tulane at home and still couldn’t pull out the W in another heartbreaker. We recap the Tulane loss before previewing Tuesday’s Senior Night vs Temple and Sunday’s regular season finale on the road against a surging Wichita State team. The Tulsa women, on the other hand, are one fire. They’ve won 4 straight and are riding high heading into the AAC Tournament in Ft. Worth. We talk about that momentum and do a brief preview of the upcoming conference tournament. Finally, we take a look around the conference and discuss TBAL rankings before going pretty deep on all other active TU sports including men’s tennis’s tough schedule, women’s tennis’s hot start, softball’s up and down season so far, women’s golf’s recent & upcoming tournaments, and how the men & women fared at the recent AAC Track & Field Championships.Fun one! Also, keep an eye out for Matt’s upcoming Patreon post digging into some softball stats 👀
