With this loss to Texas in the WCWS semifinals, it caps off the career of one of the greatest pitchers not only in Tennessee history, but college softball history in general. Karlyn Pickens holds the fastest recorded pitch in softball history at 79.4MPH. She holds many accolades in her decorated career. She is a fantastic person on and off the field. She is a true VFL and we wish her well in the AUSL. KP23 forever!
